Surviving a difficult childhood makes one stronger. My parents, poor but honest and loving people, always taught me the right values. I began working at age 13, and was active in athletics, leadership, and later, the law and public service. I accepted a football scholarship to Occidental College and was freshman class president. My late wife Nancy and I were blessed with three children and four granddaughters. My volunteer work as a Certified Grief Counselor has been deeply gratifying. All clients are treated like family in our law firm. Making a contribution to my community and fighting for the rights of my clients in my legal career has been an honor
...never forgetting where I came from.
